Using Get Data Source Fields in Claude

Before you start, make sure you have an active private connection to the Pricefx MCP Server. Use the get_data_source_fields private tool in Claude to retrieve the fields available in a Data Source.

  1. Open your browser and launch Claude.

  2. Click the + icon.

  3. Go to Connectors.

  4. Verify that your private connection is enabled.

  5. Enter the following prompt in the message input field.

    List of all fields in Data Source 'Product' in a table.

  6. Click the Send message Send message button .

  7. If Claude asks for permission to use the get_data_source_fields tool, click Allow.

  8. The get_data_source_fields tool returns the fields available in the selected Data Source.
