The create_action_item tool creates one action item in Pricefx and assigns it to a user. You can set a summary, a description, and a due date. The tool writes to your Pricefx partition: the action item is created as soon as the AI assistant calls the tool.

The create_action_item tool uses your Pricefx permissions. You can create action items and assign them to users only if your Pricefx permissions allow it. The tool is available to the Operator access profile, so every user on a private connection can use it.

Output
The tool returns the created action item, including its Id. Fields without a value are not included.
Behavior and Limitations

The tool creates the action item immediately. The tool does not ask for confirmation, so the AI assistant must confirm the details with you first.

The tool uses the default action item type. You cannot choose another type.

The tool does not link the action item to a Pricefx object, such as a Quote.

A search by login name, email, or name finds only activated users.
