Use this short procedure to create a new SFTP user from the SFTP User Management (see the reference article: SFTP User Management) tab.
Prerequisites

Account-level permission:
Partition Data Management - edit -
SSH key (optional) if key-based access will be used
Steps

Navigate to Account > Partitions > {Partition} > Data Management > SFTP User Management tab and click Add User in the upper-right corner.

In the Access section, select an access type:

All folders: full access to all SFTP root folders.

Data Upload: access only to the selected upload folder.

Data Download: access only to the selected download folder.

If you select Upload or Download, choose the appropriate folder from the dropdown.

Enter a Username (keep the required prefix)

Choose one of the Authentication method:

Password: Enter password that meets the password policy shown in the UI.

SSH Key: Add one or more SSH public keys.

Password + SSH Key: Use both password and SSH key for multifactor authentication.

Click Add to create the user. The new user appears in the SFTP user list with the configured access type and timestamp. Future edits are available from the row’s 3‑dot menu via the SFTP User Management screen.
