Steps

  1. Go to Account > User Rights > Users or User Groups.

  2. In the Users table, select a user or user group, then click the three dots () to open the Permission Management menu.

  3. From the dropdown, choose either:

    • Account Permissions & Roles – to assign traditional account-level roles and permissions. See the Assigning Permissions & Roles section below.

    • Asset Permissions – to grant fine-grained access to individual objects under specific assets (partitions, integrations, workflows, schedulers,…). See the Assigning Asset Permissions section below.

Inviting User

If your user is not listed, click Invite User at top right. After you fill in an email address and submit it, the PlatformManager administrator will be prompted to create the user account and invite the user in. If the user is already registered in PlatformManager, this user will be notified about the invitation to this account and will automatically appear in the account user list. (If the invited user does not activate the account in 2 weeks, the account is deleted.)
The account owner is then notified that a new user was added to the account. Invited users are also listed in the general Users section (in Administration) where the PlatformManager admin has an option to resend the invitation email.

Assigning Permissions & Roles

To assign account permissions, you have two options:

  • On the Permissions tab, click the checkboxes to set permissions for individual objects/actions of that asset, click Save to confirm.

  • On the Business Role tab, select the corresponding business role which already contains predefined permissions for individual objects/actions. For details see How to Create Business Role. Then click Save to confirm.

Assigning Asset Permissions

Displays the user-specific Asset Management view with tabs for each asset category:

  • Partitions

  • Integrations (Account Deployment - read, Alerts - edit, Alerts - read, Event Orchestration - edit, Event Orchestration - read, Integration Instance - admin, Integration Instance - edit, Integration Instance - read, Integration Dashboard Logs - read, Marketplace Templates - deploy, Reports - edit, Reports - read permissions can be set)

  • Data Uploads (Partition Data Management - edit, Partition Data Management - use can be set)

  • Data Downloads (Partition Data Management - edit, Partition Data Management - use can be set)

  • Workflows (Event Orchestration - edit, Event Orchestration - read permissions can be set)

  • Schedulers (Event Orchestration - edit, Event Orchestration - read permissions can be set)

  • Asset Groups

Use the Asset Groups tab to create and reuse collections of related assets for bulk permission assignments. For details on asset groups see How to Create Asset Group.

Each tab lists assets of that type with the following key columns:

  • Asset Name – the name of the partition, integration, workflow, etc.

  • Permissions – shows whether permissions are already granted (Yes = granted, No = not granted).

  • Sub-asset Permissions – indicates whether any sub-assets (e.g. workflows, schedulers) under the main asset have been granted permissions.

To assign permissions:

  1. Hover over the desired row and click the menu.

  2. Choose one of:

    • Permissions – open the permission selection panel for this asset. After selecting permissions, click Save if applicable.

    • Show sub-assets – display and manage sub-objects like workflows or schedulers tied to the asset. After selecting permissions, click Save if applicable.

info Tip: You can use the checkboxes and the Set Permissions button below the table to assign or revoke permissions for multiple assets in one go.

Exporting User Access Data

At the top right of the Users table, you’ll find two buttons dedicated to export options:

  • Export Access Report: Exports a detailed CSV report for selected users. Includes account, asset, and sub-asset permissions, roles, and access context.

⚠️ Requires account.user_mgmt permission.

  • Export CSV: Exports a flat list of users with metadata like name, email, status, title, creator, and last login timestamp. Does not include permission details.

Use Export Access Report for auditing access and Export CSV for reporting and general user overview.
