How to Add User

Aim of this article

Shows how to create a new user account in PlatformManager. This user can then be added to an account.

Required permissions

Global permissions:

  • User management Users - edit

  • Possibly also: 

    • User management Groups - edit

    • User management Business roles - edit

    • User management Asset roles - edit

Steps:

  1. Go to Administration > Users Rights > Users.

  2. Click the Create User button at top right.

  3. Fill in the following fields: 

    • Username (required) – Must be a unique value within PlatformManager, so use the users's email.

    • First / Last name (required) – Any name of your choice.

    • Email (required) – The users' email. 

    • Job title (optional)

  4. Click Save.

After the user is created, you can assign a group or set up permissions.

You can use the Remove all permissions option in the three-dot menu under User Rights > Users to revoke all user permissions with a single click.

info Users can also be invited to PlatformManager by account administrators from the Account > User Rights > Users section.
