Configuration Engineer (CE) Recertification Program

Program Objective

The Configuration Engineer (CE) Recertification Program ensures that certified professionals remain aligned with the latest Pricefx platform capabilities, Studio functionality, and implementation best practices.

The program is intended for partner, customer, and internal resources whose CE certification was obtained more than 24 months ago.

As the platform evolves, new functionality, development approaches, and architectural patterns are introduced. The recertification process helps confirm that certified Configuration Engineers:

  • Stay up to date with new features and development capabilities

  • Follow current Pricefx best practices

  • Maintain a consistent implementation quality standard across projects

The CE certification validity period is 2 years from the date of certification.

After this period, certification holders will be required to complete the recertification process in order to maintain their active CE certification status.

Communication Timeline

To ensure sufficient preparation time, participants will receive advance notifications about upcoming certificate expiration.

This approach ensures certified professionals have ample time to complete the refresher program and assessment.

Grace Period (2026 Transition Year)

To ensure a smooth rollout of the recertification program, a grace period will be applied throughout 2026. All certified Configuration Engineers whose certification is older than 24 months will be given additional time to complete the recertification requirements.

We strongly recommend that all participants complete their recertification by the end of September 2026 to avoid last-minute capacity constraints and ensure continued active status.

The absolute final deadline will be December 31, 2026. After this date, any CE certification older than 2 years that has not been recertified will be considered expired and no longer valid.

Certifications will remain active and valid throughout the grace period (through December 31, 2026) — including those that may already be older than 24 months today.

This transition period is intended to provide sufficient flexibility while establishing a consistent certification lifecycle moving forward.

Recertification Structure

The recertification bundle focuses only on new or evolving topics, assuming the participant previously completed the full CE training.

The program consists of two main parts:

Recertification Tracks

To ensure the appropriate level of validation based on experience and recent activity, the recertification program is structured into three tracks.

Partner prices can be found here.

Customer prices can be found here.

1. Light Renewal

For individuals who have been actively working on Pricefx projects and are up to date with recent developments.

Includes:

  • Online test (exam)

  • Simple practical assignment

  • Optional short technical interview(at the Training Advisor's discretion)

Purpose:
Quick validation of current knowledge with minimal overhead.

2. Standard Recertification

Default track for most participants.

Includes:

  • Refresher learning modules covering only new or updated platform capabilities and best practices

  • Online test (exam)

  • Simple practical assignment

  • Optional short technical interview(at the Training Advisor's discretion)

Purpose:
Focused update on recent changes without revisiting previously covered core content.

3. Extended Recertification

For individuals who have not been actively working on Pricefx projects or require deeper validation.

Includes:

  • Refresher learning modules covering new platform capabilities

  • Access to standard CE training materials (core curriculum)

  • Online test (exam)

  • Simple practical assignment

  • Optional short technical interview(at the Training Advisor's discretion)

Purpose:
Comprehensive revalidation combining new content with access to foundational training materials to ensure full readiness for project work.

Certification Renewal

Once the recertification requirements are successfully completed:

  • The CE certification validity is extended for another 2 years

  • Certification status remains active

If recertification is not completed:

  • Certification status becomes expired

  • Individual may need to complete the full certification process again

Refresher Learning Modules

Participants will complete a focused learning bundle covering the most important additions and improvements in the platform since their original certification.

Pricefx Platform Updates

Core topics covering new capabilities and architecture improvements.

Modules may include:

  • Advanced CE updates
