List Important Agent Actions (Agents)

The List Important Agent Actions MCP tool in the Pricefx Agents allows users to retrieve and prioritize agent actions through natural language interactions with the Pricefx Copilot. The tool lists top actions for My Actions (current user) or actions for other users (<login>) and includes all statuses, including Done.

How the Tool Works

The MCP tool integrates with the Pricefx Copilot to provide on-demand access to prioritized action lists. When you request information about important actions, the tool retrieves and presents actions based on intelligent prioritization criteria.

Prioritization Logic

The tool uses prioritization based on multiple factors:

  • Due Dates – Sort by ascending order, oldest to newest.

  • Business Impact – Default to Revenue impact, descending order - highest to lowest.

  • Creation Date – Used as a controlled fallback where no better signals are available.

Action Status Coverage

The tool lists all statuses, including Done actions, providing a comprehensive view of both active and completed work items.

Using the Tool with Copilot

You can interact with the tool through natural language prompts in the Pricefx Copilot. The tool responds to various request formats for retrieving prioritized action lists.

Access Permissions

The tool respects user permissions when retrieving action lists:

  • You can view My Actions (current user) without additional permissions.

  • You can view Actions for other users (<login>) if you have appropriate access rights.

  • If you lack permissions for specific actions, the system displays appropriate error messages.

Impact Measures and Currency Display

The MCP tool displays currency symbols alongside revenue, costs, and profit values, improving the readability of financial impact data when reviewing prioritized actions. Currency symbols are derived from the currency configured for each action item and appear directly next to the monetary value in the tool's response.

Supported Impact Types

  • Revenue Impact – Shows monetary value with the appropriate currency symbol (for example, $1,200 or €950).

  • Profit Impact – Displays profit calculations with currency formatting.

  • Costs Impact – Presents cost-related measures with currency symbols.

  • Other Measures – Additional impact metrics as configured in the agent.

Limitations and Considerations

Data Availability

The completeness of returned information depends on:

  • The configuration of the originating agents.

  • The availability of impact measures and calculations.

  • The current status and state of action items.

Performance Considerations

  • The tool respects row limits to ensure optimal performance.

  • Results are filtered based on user permissions to maintain security.

  • Prioritization algorithms balance multiple factors for relevant results.
