Recipe: New Rebate Type Based on Existing Calculation

Business Scenario

Rebate is a fixed bonus (e.g. 1000 USD or 10 %) which is paid to the customer independently of the turnover/sale. Even if the customer does not make any sales, the rebate is still paid.

The fixed bonus can be calculated in the following ways:

  • It is an agreed amount; sales value has no influence here.
    E.g. rebate value = 1000 USD

  • It is a percent.
    E.g. rebate value = 10 % * Sale Value

Deploy Package

Deploy the Accelerate Rebate Management Package through PlatformManager.

Set up New Rebate Types

Let’s suppose there is a requirement to set up these rebate types:

  • Sign Up Bonus – The rebate is a fixed amount, independent of the sale value.

  • Marketing Bonus – The rebate is a fixed percent of the sale value.

You can meet this requirement with a simple configuration step after the Accelerate Rebate Manager Package is deployed.

  1. Go to RebateManager > Rebate Types.

  2. Add a new rebate type.

  3. Fill in the following details:
