Rebate Agreement Types

With Rebate Agreement Types you can speed up the process of creating new Rebate Agreements. A Rebate Agreement Type is a template that specifies the header, Condition Type filtering and workflow logics and the JSON configuration for dynamic tabs. You can define several Rebate Agreement Types and then quickly create Rebate Agreements based on these types.

Create a Rebate Agreement Type

  1. Go to Rebates > Rebate Agreement Types and click Add Rebate Agreement Type.

  2. On the General tab:

    1. Give the new type a name, which must be unique. Note that Rebate Agreement Types cannot be renamed once they are created – you can only change their label.

    2. Optionally, define a label. The label must be unique and it also cannot be the same as an already existing Rebate Agreement Type name. The label can be changed anytime.
If a Rebate Agreement Type has a label, it will be displayed on the Rebate Agreement list and detail pages instead of the name.

    3. Select the desired header logic and a filtering logic that will offer only some Condition Types for the user to select from when creating a new Rebate Agreement.

    4. Select Rebate Agreement workflow and creation workflow logics. The drop-down lists contain only active logics. If no logic is selected, the default one will be used (in case of workflow logics it’s the valid and active logic with the 'Valid After' date closest to today).

    5. In Rebate Record Workflow Object, select if it will be individual Rebate Records or Rebate Record groups that will be submitted in the approval workflow. You can also select a Rebate Record workflow logic.

    6. You can limit which Rebate Agreement Types the user will see when creating a new Rebate Agreement by adding a user group in the User Group (View Details) column. Similarly, you can determine which users will be able to edit a Rebate Agreement Type. Remember that certain rules apply to the combinations of user group entitlement settings.

  3. On the Advanced tab, you can define the structure of the Rebate Agreement in JSON format. Specify how many tabs and what types of tabs the Rebate Agreement will have. The editor will allow you to save a configuration containing only supported tabs. See the Knowledge Base article Detail Page Layout and Dynamic Tabs for details.

  4. Click Create.

Edit a Rebate Agreement Type

To edit an existing Rebate Agreement Type, select it on the list page and click the Edit button.

You can modify all properties defined during creation, except the name. You can also specify whether Rebate Agreements should be recalculated when line items are added or imported.

  • Recalculate when adding items – If enabled, adding products doesn’t trigger full Rebate Agreement recalculation. The Rebate Agreement is recalculated only after the Recalculate button is clicked.

  • Recalculate when importing items – If enabled, importing products doesn’t trigger full Rebate Agreement recalculation. The Rebate Agreement is recalculated only after the Recalculate button is clicked.
