Price Setting

A common business challenge is structured price list management. Pricing teams often face slow, labor-intensive mass updates, delayed responses to cost, competition, and demand shifts, and difficulty handling complex pricing strategies and rules. To overcome this, managers need faster, more accurate mass updates with less effort, agile responses to market changes, and simpler management of complex pricing strategies.

How we solve it in Pricefx

Pricefx streamlines price list management with rule-based setup, price grids for rapid recalculation across segments, and simulations of business impact. It supports updates to targets, increases, competitive positioning, and inventory levels, while enabling real-time response to changing costs, competition, or market conditions. Automated approval workflows, system integrations, flexible output formats (ERP, e-commerce, etc.), and embedded analytics ensure speed, accuracy, and adaptability.

Quoting

Negotiating profitable deals is a common challenge, often resulting in lost business, money left on the table, slow cycles, and inconsistent profitability due to handoffs, rebates, terms, and freight. Pricing managers must reduce friction, speed up quoting and negotiation, empower sales with confidence, capture cost-to-serve and off-invoice incentives, and identify segments for optimized value-based pricing.

How we solve it in Pricefx

Pricefx streamlines deal negotiation by enabling accurate product and service configuration, reducing errors, and guiding sales with AI-driven price optimization. Embedded analytics show margin impact and build confidence, while data-driven recommendations increase deal size. Sales can benchmark quotes with historical data, cut cycle times through automated workflows, and use customizable templates with contracts and e-signatures. Integration with leading CRMs and mobile access further simplify quoting and approvals.

AI-Driven Pricing Monitoring & Action

Modern pricing organizations struggle to react fast enough to margin leakage, pricing anomalies, compliance issues, and emerging opportunities hidden in large volumes of data. Manual monitoring and ad-hoc analysis make it difficult to consistently detect risks early, act at scale, and ensure follow-through across pricing, sales, and management teams.

Pricing managers need continuous, intelligent monitoring that not only highlights issues and opportunities but also recommends concrete actions and integrates seamlessly into daily workflows.

How we solve it in Pricefx

Pricefx Agents are AI-powered assistants that continuously monitor pricing, sales, customer, and margin data to proactively identify risks and opportunities. Using an event-based architecture, Agents detect defined conditions, such as sudden margin drops, unusual discounting, or outlier deals and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Agents can:

  • Proactively surface pricing and margin risks before they escalate

  • Recommend corrective actions or optimization opportunities

  • Trigger workflows, alerts, and approvals directly in existing processes

  • Support collaboration between pricing, sales, and management while keeping humans in control

Agents integrate directly into the Pricefx user experience, delivering alerts and recommendations via dashboards, workflows, notifications, and Copilot. They are configurable to specific business objectives, roles, and rules, ensuring that users see only what is relevant to them.

By combining continuous monitoring with human oversight, Pricefx Agents help organizations move from reactive pricing analysis to continuous, AI-assisted pricing optimization.

Agreements & Promotions

Structured discount management is a common challenge, with difficulties in setting promotions, customers receiving incentives without meeting commitments, and limited visibility into discount impacts. This wastes valuable resources and creates inefficiencies. Pricing managers need tools to accurately track incentive performance, give sales and pricing teams clear visibility into discounts, and reduce the effort required to manage them.

How we solve it in Pricefx

Pricefx simplifies discount management by handling promotions and contracts across customers, products, or regions, and by supporting special conditions like volume or prepayment discounts. It analyzes discount and margin-leakage impacts on KPIs, automates approval workflows, and delivers electronic quotes with DocuSign. With ERP and CRM integration, POS/claims correlation with trade promotions, and mobile access for use and approval, Pricefx ensures accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.

Rebates

Structured rebate management is challenging due to customers gaining incentives without meeting commitments, complex calculations, and limited transparency of net-net pricing. Sales and pricing teams often lack visibility into rebate impacts, wasting time and resources. Pricing managers need tools to accurately track incentive performance, calculate net-net price and margin in one place, give teams clear rebate visibility, and reduce effort in managing rebates.

How we solve it in Pricefx

Pricefx addresses rebate challenges by allowing rebates at any customer or product level, managing and optimizing trade promotions, and handling all rebate types. Embedded analytics predict performance and optimize spend, while automated approvals streamline workflows. The platform supports electronic rebate documents with DocuSign, integrates with CRMs and ERPs for accruals and credits, correlates POS/claims with promotions, and enables mobile use and approvals.

Channel Management

Managing ship and debit claims is challenging due to manual, offline validation, prolonged resolution times, missing supporting details, and limited ability to forecast program success. Pricing managers need systematic, accurate, and timely claims validation, the ability to forecast accruals and calculate payouts, and clear visibility into program eligibility, validity, and exceptions.

How we solve it in Pricefx

In Pricefx, these challenges are solved by automated handling of ship & debit claims by distributors, integration with the ERP to issue a credit memo and execute pay-outs, validation of claims to existing agreements (e.g., rebates) or quotes, and definable approval workflow rules with steps, conditions, and approvers.

Optimization

Implementing price optimization is challenging due to limited control over methods, lack of transparency, and difficulty applying results to quotes and pricing. Pricing managers need data-driven, intelligent deal guidance, flexibility for overrides, list price optimization alongside other price waterfall elements across segments, and the ability to manage multiple business objectives and priorities.

How we solve it in Pricefx with AI-based Segmentation and Price Optimization

Pricefx with AI Optimization addresses these challenges through automated price optimization based on business goals and user-defined constraints. It simultaneously optimizes all pricing elements, accounts for elasticity, predicts impacts on revenue, volume, and margin, performs breakeven analysis, and allows flexible model adjustments with priorities, rules, and constraints. Optimized pricing guidance can be output directly to CPQ, price lists, ERP, and commerce platforms.

Market Simulation

Continuing the price optimization journey is challenging due to reliance on historical data, optimizing prices and discounts without product-level granularity, and unknown B2B market prices. Pricing managers need to respond effectively to competitive moves, optimize assortments and inventory risk, improve seasonal and markdown pricing, and drive more successful new product launches.

How we solve it in Pricefx

In Pricefx with Market Simulation, these challenges are solved by simulating the real behavior of customers and competitors, simulating the impact of price changes of a product to the surrounding products within the portfolio through cross-price elasticity, simulating market response to price changes and its business impacts, and supporting simultaneous optimization on multiple objectives within the market simulation scenarios. The market response is simulated through various WHAT IF scenarios.
