Bar & Line chart allows you to group data across a dimension or time (X-Axis) and see the values of one or more measures (Y-Axis).
Chart Preview
On the right side of the New Portlet screen there is a Chart and Data Preview section where you can preview all the changes made when you click the Apply and Refresh.

X-Axis
You can change the order of the rows on the X-Axis that are used for Group By.
Show Label – Color the bars by a selected Group by. Each value will have its own color. You can customize these colors. This option is disabled when only one Group by is defined.
Y-Axis
You can change the order of the rows on the Y-Axis that are used for Measure.
You can change the Type of the Measure. The following Types are available:

Line

Spline
You can delete the Measure by clicking on the

Stacking
Grouped shows values side by side. Stacked adds values on top of each other, and Stacked % shows their relative share. Only effective when the bar chart has multiple Items to stack.

Show Values on Data Points – shows and hides the values on data points in the chart.
Horizontal View – this option will switch the chart to horizontal view.
Additional Tooltip Values – Display values that aren not shown in the chart but are part of the data. By default, all values are included and will appear in the tooltip when hovering over the chart. You can remove any you do not want to show.

Show Label – shows and hides the X-Axis label.
Label – sets the label value of the X-Axis.
