Set Up Product Segmentation

This article describes the process of configuring product segmentation.

  1. Go to the Price Setting Accelerator Configuration Wizard (Company Processes > Configuration Wizards), select the Core Elements module and then click Product Segmentation.

  2. Set up the default Product Segmentation. The list of attributes depends on your business needs and was decided in the pre-installation steps. The attributes must be provided in the order from the highest to the lowest level of the product attributes hierarchy.
    Note: These attributes come from the attributes found in the Product Master. An example of attributes could be Industry > Business Unit > Product Group. This setting directly impacts the structure of tables created during the installation process. Later re-configuration will require a set of manual steps.

  3. Optionally, configure the Product Segmentation individually for a feature.

  4. When done, click Apply.
